Rhodium Plating

Rhodium Plating

Bring white gold jewellery that has lost its shine back to life with Rhodium Plating.

Rhodium plating is a highly reflective white surface which gives a brilliant shine. Over time this surface may become dull and wear away. We can restore your jewellery by replating – this gives your white gold jewellery a mirror-shine finish. The process involves using an ultrasonic cleaner to remove dirt from stone set jewellery. Buffing polishes out surface scratches before a steam clean to bring out the sparkle in your diamonds and other precious stones

How long will the rhodium replating last on my ring?

This depends on how often you wear your jewellery. The rhodium plating will wear away with contact and exposure to elements such as the oils on your skin, washing up liquid and moisturiser. We recommend you remove your jewellery when doing dishes and housework to protect your rings.

Can you turn yellow gold ring into a white gold ring?

We can do this but it is not a permanent fix and will wear off in time, so the rhodium will need to be re-applied to keep the white finish. If you decide you don’t like the jewellery in its new white gold appearance the rhodium plating on yellow gold can be removed.
